Fading into the snow.

Recently I found my secret place in the park near my location. It is absolutely peaceful and beautiful. There are many short bushes surrounding the the tiny room, you could sit down to the long chair and read. The deadwood with leaves covered the wall like an artistic setting, as if they are sleeping and waiting for the rebirth in the spring. When I looked up, I saw two horses with shinny ginger fur standing on the little hill. How poetic!  Perhaps there are many surprisingly amazing places in your life, they are waiting for you to discover them, perhaps many beautiful things happen without you realizing them, the only thing we could do is stay curious, stay active.
I called this theme "Fading into the snow",  I don't only like dressing whole black in the snow, but  also like white quite a lot. It feels like I am hiding in this scene, to be the one with nature.

Romantic Snow.

The heavy snowy scene brings a kind of gloomy but romantic emotion to me sometimes. It always is one of the best scenes for dramas.   My whole black outwear made a strong contrast with the pure white surrounding, it reminded me one of my favorite romantic movies " Letters of Love" by Shunji Iwai.

I named theme as " Romantic Snow" this time , it paid tribute to those romantic movies I used to like before.

We all have untold romantic secrets in our inmost memories, they all the most precious experiences we ever have.

A Clean Future.

The reasons that I like snowy scene are not only just because the pure white is beautiful and poetic, but also it reminds me a whole blank life, a whole new possibility. When I stand among these Ice white world, the feeling is quite surreal, as if I am in another world, an absolutely empty world.  It reminds me  a lot of science fiction scenes from 60s-70s movies, for example" 2001: A space Odyssey" by Kubrick, "Sleeper" by Woody Allen, "THX-1138" by George Lucas... The inspirations of this set also come from these Sci-fi films. They built the future aesthetics I love the most: A future world that is clean, stylish, cheesy and mystery. Not like the sci-fi movies which are all full of massive fightings and giant creatures today, 60-70s movies present very original imagination, philosophical metaphor and good sense of humors, in other words, they give people enough space to Think.
Where are the human comes from really? it is  still a question. Although people said we are the generation from primates evolution,  but there are too many questions need to be figured out. Or perhaps like the movie"2001: a space Odyssey" shows, the Black stone fell down to the earth as meteor enlighten orangutans, or maybe we are all just virtualization energy, all the world are empty. But the point is: We are unique. the world we saw is unique.

Polar Nancy!

Most of European cities are covered by heavy snow currently, the temperature keeps dropping down to the ice cold. Since Berlin is nearly as cold as Siberia, so the theme of this time called " Polar Nancy ",  it was inspired by Russian Siberian native styles, but in a modern casual way. Don't you think somehow I look like a little polar bear on the snow? To be honest I always think that Siberia native people has very unique character and interesting styles, also it is amazing they could survive so well in this ice cold weather for such a long time.
Enjoy the snowy weather and keep warm!

Warm Colors in a Sea of Ice.

When I read it will be -20 degree next week from the news, seriously I was a bit freaking out. Although it is only around -9 degree during this week, I feel very sick from the freezing weather already. Anyway, keep yourself warm from this winter, don't be ill!

The theme is called"Warm color in the cold", oversized knitwear is my "life saver" for these horrible freezing days, especially in warm colors. Of course pullover isn't enough though, we still need a big outwear for surviving!

Is it you, Bart?

My boyfriend captured this amazing scene by accident when he was on the way to home. This man's back view reminded him of his old friend Bart from the university. I love this picture absolutely, it somehow like a movie scene for me, especially the interesting story behind.

"After doing a shoot and walking home,
I see this gentleman walking down the road,
so I take my camera with haste,
aim then move the finger.
 Click.
 Goes the trigger.
As simple as this a moment in time is captured.
 Technology thank you."

A dream.

The new painting " A dream" was inspired by something which is like a dream. She is standing on top of the floating flower that look like a tiny planet. A whole empty universe surrounds her. No place to go, she only perceives herself. This is a lonely, surreal dream.
People start to become too lazy to understand each other and think about one another. Sometimes we could feel very helpless as if we are standing on a breakpoint, or  a small space barely enough for our footing. We expect more understanding from people but never give many attention to others. Then we walk further, we feel lonelier. Maybe the first thing we should do is just Relax, stop complaining, start to accept more of the world.
Sometimes I could be negative as well, but I prefer to change this emotion into a passion for my art. It will make me feel happier!

A Rockin Start.

We have taken this set last week, in the beginning of this month.  I remembered I tried to practice my calligraphy properly for the very first time. It was a very fun experience, it also inspired me to start to write some stories. There has been many individual scenes and experiences in my brain, those romantic, dramatic, freaky and disturbing stories. Hopefully I could organize them proper and write them down with illustrations in the future. Anyway, I won't just say it, I will do it better.
The theme of this time inspired by Rock style a bit but not so much. I love listening to Rock music usually, such as the music of Radiohead, Alice in chains,Oasis, X Japan and etc. Those songs help me express myself.
     So,what's your favorite rock band?

Simply unique.

After countless outstanding prints and galmorous patterns impressed our life in these two years. I start to miss 90s simply, chic but unique style, especially Japanese Avant-Garde designers fantastic work such as Yohji Yamamoto, Rei Kawakubo, Issey Miyake and etc since 70s. Have talked about the topic of Japanese fashion golden era style called "Dynamic and Static"last summer, oriental philosophies, occident culture influences and traditional handmade coutures are the biggest inspirations for their designs. Dark colors with loose cut is full of a kind of elegance of abstinence. When I was young I thought style should mix many different things together, but now I do believe "less is more"is suitable of me now, we all have different attitudes when we are in different ages, of course, what you like and what suits you are two different things, it just take time to figure them out.

Inspirations-The world,us

Our cognitive world and ourselves are not separate from each other, but are one and the same . As an individual one, we exist separately from the world; but as a carrier of consciousness, we are the world.

Lady and Fox.

Although I heard about it, it isn't really a strange thing to come across a Fox in the garden of Europe, but I haven't met one before. Yet I had met an old wolf walking alone slowly on the main street in Berlin...which was unbelievable! I promised it was the real one...not a big dog...Well there is nothing is impossible.
I love cartoonish animals as much as the real animals. When I saw some very cute thing such as this fox look children's playing chair, I just couldn't control myself to love it as a 5 years old kid. Also for me giving animal a neat and cute shape in my drawing is a very enjoyable progress. The theme is called " Lady and Fox" this time, the inspiration came from children's books. It is really fun to be very playful and childish sometimes!
