General-II

It was not the first time I dressed in a military style, my inspiration came from the age of Napoleon. During this age all the European General's military looked very decorative, elegant yet wearing this outfit showed leadership and position. Especiall Napoleon was very arrogant, a man but thought himself high above all else s of course he was famous for his vanity and outfit. Also a part from the French military during this period the Russian army at this point or should I say General had a very docorated and flamboyant style to their outfits.
I always thought when looking at films as well that on screen it captured well the character or the role, for films of photography it looks so interesting and cool.Special in it's design, and outfits from The Ancient Greeks, Romans, Ottoman empire, Chinese Achient and then to this more recent or closer to the  modern age of Generals such as Napoleon and a military style of Russia all had the same way to design a outfit . To make a ancient or modern soldier (warriors) outfit look stylish and elegant yet at the same time Convey Force and Power a sense of Domination and leadership. This, I always thought to be a interesting mixture.

Continuous Journey.

Unfortunately I lost my charger of my laptop so that it wasn't available to update blog properly during the trip in Milan. Tomorrow I will start off to Paris again. Journey is endless.Every city has his character. Each time when I travel to different places,Their architectures, traffics, food cultures, people's mood could keep inspiring me a lot. The meaning of traveling is about experiencing the beautiful things. There is no place that could always stay the same,so even we travel to the same place constantly, you still will feel differently each time. That is more than we expect, don't you think so?

City garden.

Tiergarden in Berlin is one of the most wonderful places you can possibly find within a city, and right in the middle or the heart of it. To me this is amazing that you can have this secluded area with  vast woodland and a lake passing threw the middle of it where people rent out little boats as in the old time to “row” slowly with lovers. The atmosphere in this place is something special, something different and very magical. When you think about it this is the right word, you are in the middle of this big modern city but at the heart there is a forest. It is a garden yes, but it is so big that it can easily be considered a forest. Berlin has many, many different natural parts to it some of which I am only now finding out about so in a way it makes my living here so much more exiting and fun to have a city such as this where I am constantly being surprised by how diverse it is.
This place is as if something from a painting or a story that you would see or read then imagine in your head late on into the night as the book in your hands grew heavy with imaginary weight. It has a cinematic quality to it that really is amazing to me,  so maybe in the future a video should be made here.

The color of Jade.

Actually I thought writing somethings about Manet's arts long ago. As the “founder” artist of impressionism, Manet's works had the best anatomy basis, Asian deco artistic influenced form, incredibly beautiful colors and magic lightings. His works had perfect color balance, these color contrast made his work didn't look as exaggerate as general impressionism arts,  realistic but fantastic.

The theme of this time called" The color of Jade". Perhaps you already could tell the print of this dress were inspired by" Lilac in a vase", Manet loved using green a lot, the green colors from his works always remind me the color of jade, gentle and peaceful.

There is no shortcut for Art. If artists only focus on the technique , their works will be an empty shell without spirit; If artists only insist on simply form and ignore the basis, their works will be too frivolous. The real great art pieces are not only created by artists' skill and tastes, but also their passions and attitude to life, their imagination.

Unexpected.

It seems very typical or strange even for me to make a random post but this time it was a bolt of inspiration. Walking down the road as we wanted to find a place to shoot for my outfit (ps:this trench coat I wear everyday recently), at random we found a place which was wonderful in color and tone. The sun was almost setting, Berlin was just waking up, and we were tired from the long walk. After a few shots to test the lighting we found that this would be the best place to take pictures, and funny enough the outfit of my every day life was suited for this very much.
The theme for today I think is "expect the unexpected and welcome a happy accident". So Berlin and the world, I hope that you all have had a wonderful Saturday, then as you read this a wonderful Sunday.

Esprit Night in Cologne.

Esprit.  A company created by a couple, maybe out of their mutual love for one another and love for fashion. I would not dare say Esprit (in my vague recollection of the brand's history) was aimed at the start towards women, more it was a masculine style with a  trendy yet somewhat rough cut to it. You can imagine in that time a style was only a certain type for a man and her dare not deviate from it in any way.
This is where it leads now, to myself. Esprit has always been a great commercial fashion brand because of the quality. Having a wide array of designs for every time of guy and it all coming from one brand is very special and hard work I can imagine. But along the way this design and flare faded out, over time, as with any company I should say. Maybe a company or brand can be seen as a person as in that over time they burn out. But now, with the launch of the new Esprit concept stores and events it seems....no.....it is a revival of the Brand in every way. As I walked threw the new stores it surprised me how much it looked like the older Esprit from long ago but with nicer atmosphere, better designs, details and ideas in many ways.

The Event! Set in Germany (Cologne) we were given tickets that of an air-plane boarding pass and proceeded to wait in line for a short amount of time, then as our time came the stewardess invited us in to see the exhibits. Much to my surprise every room had models in it , the rooms set up some as outdoor camping (the guys wearing Esprit outdoor wear) and other rooms were of girls sitting drinking champagne or coffee. Each room was different and unique to show a different side of Esprit fashion and reach, not to mention it made for great photography. Then as the evening moved on and we saw in the main big room gorgeous models on swings as photographers took pictures of them at the central spherical assortment.
Then on to the main event with the champagne crawling up our spines and numbing our toes we walk outside to see a very large open air space. It was very calm and mellow almost a placid feeling was over everyone. Then! The main even of music and of course more Champagne, it felt like a small concert but so private. Very small and intimate and it really was, you turn left and right and see people smiling and happy greeting you as if you are not strangers at all but all are friends and all are one. This was the mood and feeling of that night until the very end and this is what Esprit brought as an event. That evening underneath a gorgeous sky with yellow soft lights in their multitude, and happy people with style and class and music that moved me so I made memories. Memories that will last me a lifetime.
