The color of Jade.

Actually I thought writing somethings about Manet's arts long ago. As the “founder” artist of impressionism, Manet's works had the best anatomy basis, Asian deco artistic influenced form, incredibly beautiful colors and magic lightings. His works had perfect color balance, these color contrast made his work didn't look as exaggerate as general impressionism arts,  realistic but fantastic.

The theme of this time called" The color of Jade". Perhaps you already could tell the print of this dress were inspired by" Lilac in a vase", Manet loved using green a lot, the green colors from his works always remind me the color of jade, gentle and peaceful.

There is no shortcut for Art. If artists only focus on the technique , their works will be an empty shell without spirit; If artists only insist on simply form and ignore the basis, their works will be too frivolous. The real great art pieces are not only created by artists' skill and tastes, but also their passions and attitude to life, their imagination.

  4. Love the dress, but love the illustration even more! Also, I've always loved the way Manet brought together qualities of eastern and western art--the traditional formalism of European painting with the graphic nature of Japanese woodblock prints.

I do wish we could've seen the bottom half of your dress though!
