Some readers are curious of the story behind my bracelet, therefore I will share the story with you. As you know I am a buddhist. One of them is a present from a monk by a dramatic coincidence encounter on the street, the other one is a present from my mother. As amulets are the most important accessories of mine, I wear them constantly everyday. I don't really care about other bracelets to be honest, these two are more precious than other jewelries.
The theme this time is called"Black robe", it contains meaning of mandarin traditional cultures: Buddhism,KongFu,men's costumes....it reminds me the old master's traditional outfit. Master is the sublimation of wisdom, courage, experience, skill, power and others in different fields. A simple color robe is an icon of the old master's style. It was shocked me a lot of my friends thought master's maxi suit as Communist suit, it was just insane. I think I have to talk about the background behind this type suit: In the last century many old chinese men wears the maxi Mandarin suit, which is called Tang Zhuang as well, became a very inspirational elements in western movies, especially the action movies such as Matrix and Kill Bill. The Maxi mandarin suits was named by Chinese people who lived in oversea, originally evolved from Manchu clothing in the end of Qing Dynasty. The maxi Chinese suits mixed the traditional manchu's collar style and western's cut. It used to be men's robe in beginning of last century. Until now many mandarin people wear it as a robe in the traditional festivals or religious events.
As the traditional neutral outfit, maxi mandarin robe shows the philosophy of Chinese traditional culture: Calm, peaceful but though.
