As You Like

Actually since I flied to Beijing from 21st July, everyday was full and busy almost overflowing like a cup too full, because I will be a stylist again for an amazing project !( well it is our secret OK)I enjoye  being a stylist sometimes, it is the same as artists or other designers, stylists create dreams, they make something impossible comes true. Like I said before, I want to create something new. And I always think a dream is the sharpest weapon for our future, the youth is our strongest equipment ever. They will always keep inside of your body. If you want.
The theme of today is floral pattern chic! This vintage skirt If you ask me which type of textile I like, I will tell you print, especially art print pieces.I collect few years ago, It look like a flower oil painting was painted by artist straight away. And.....The lovely parrot necklace is my favorite recently!

Simple Youth

It's is uniform style for today! Looks like a school girl, isn't it? Marine style is inspiration for summer as always, it is an easy color combination, simple style that can be put on easily during the heat! It was so relaxing in this playground (Berlin). There are so many kids, babies in this city so there are plenty of places for them to play. It feels very safe to be here, it feels calm. Many cities are more and more chaotic yet in Berlin , time slows down, you can hear your heart beat and feel the wind. Like in my drawing here, closed my eyes and felt the warm summer wind brush my face. I hope I can also wear this marine type school style next to the ocean or on a boat. This would be amazing ^_^

Actually I think the student period was really precious time, to all of us.You had a simple but fun life, you could do whatever you wanted. The youth and confidence was your most beautiful outfit. With this armour of youth there was nothing to fear, nothing to run from, no pressures weighting down upon you. Maybe we can learn from youth? And not take life too seriously........youth really is, the most beautiful outfit.

What is your favourite memory from your youth? From your childhood or your school years?

Diet Part 2 - a quickie

"I'm sorry, but a diet can never be healthy. The moment you start eating 'normal' again you will gain weight."

Anything in excess (i.e diet) or too much food, alcohol, anything is bad for you." People evolved because of Meat, and evolved to eat meat". I like vegan, but felt weak on this type of food. No energy.
Why do you think you have canines on your upper Jaw for? The key is to have a Balanced Diet. Low fat, unless its nuts. The point of a diet is to learn self control, if you put on weight again after it is mostly because your over eating. Study done show that people who stop as soon as they feel they are getting full live longer and healthier lives. In our world of excess we are conditioned into "over
eating" without even realizing it. I never said to constantly for all time just eat Meat. Only for a short time and this is what worked for me ^ ^ as I said in Elle Singapore Diet. Then Changed my pattern, ate meat 3 or 2 times a week and ate what ever I wanted the other times but NOT to make myself too full. Would stop before I got to that stage. Eating "normal" again should not be your normal any more. Isn't this what makes us all put on weight in the first place? We have to make a "new" normal for our daily diets.
Saying all of this, each person is different. I don't want people to think I'm against Vegan. Me and my bf both tried vegan but can not do it. Those who are Vegans choose to be also because they understand the environmental problems caused by over production of animals which results in their waste polluting the environment. To be vegan also means to have a sense of compassion for all creatures. Or some people just don't like meat full stop.
Don't forget you have to train! Every day I would do some training for 30 minutes in the morning and nighttime. Also like I said, you have to drink a lot of water, alcohol will just cause you problems also.

The Secret Lives of Dresses

"I don't know how long Ive been hanging here by myself; it's hard to tell the days when the closet isn't opened every morning. Hes opened the closet twice, but the room's been dark, both times, and he isn't dressed for work when he does open the closet. I mean, hes wearing street clothes, not pajamas, but they're all rumpled and not very clean, either."

I'm reading a new book I was given for my birthday called "The Secret Lives of Dresses" by Erin Mckean. It's such a nice and lovely book in many ways captivating and charming with a undercurent of some good values for life. You can walk away from this book with learning something new or changing your perspective. It is very well written that for a non native english speaker its so easy to follow. Not to say that it is dumbed down in any way, just that it flows as one long poem should.
Giving me a sense that I am floating on a sea of Words. Share this book with ohers and read i threw and threw, you will certainly find this enjoyable.

Product Description "From Amazon.co.uk"
'Every dress has a story.
Let me tell you mine...'

"Dora is in love with a man who barely notices her, has a job she doesn't care about, and dresses entirely for comfort, not style. All a far cry from her vivid, eccentric childhood, growing up with her beloved grandmother Mimi.
However, when disaster strikes, Dora knows she has no choice but to return to her childhood home and take over running Mimi's vintage clothing shop. And there she makes a surprising discovery - Mimi's been writing stories to accompany every dress she sells. Romantic, heartbreaking tales about each one's secret life before it got to her shop...
Dora starts to matchmake these lonely frocks with new owners, but will the stories help her as well? Trading her boring high street clothes for vintage glamour is one thing. What she needs to know is whether she can trade her safe old life - and love - for something better too?
A captivating and enchanting novel for every girl who knows that the right dress can change your life. By the author of the popular blog www.dressaday.com."

Elle Singapore Diet

"Only one woman in four is happy with her weight and one in five is on a diet".

The Diet. Yes the number is so high, very high. Probably even more so than this as this information is taken from a survey. It would probably be more something as two in four. Before I talked about this but not in much detail.
Many of you know that I have been on a diet, I'm glad to report that it has made a big difference in my body shape, energy levels, focus e.t.c.
What this diet consisted of was mainly protein i.e meat. It was difficult at first but then you get used to it. Eating a light salad also, with very low fat sauce and some sweet corn. Sometimes i would be just meat and nothing else, but having a bit of a salad with the meat breaks the monotony of it. After two or three weeks of this then I would change my diet again on certain days. As eating meat only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday with drinking about three litres of water a day almost. The days between would eat anything I wanted, but still in moderation. My stomach had shrunk some so I was physically not able to eat so much. You have to eat the right things and many people don't do this.
Supplements. An important part of any diet is the supplement intake of Vitamin C, Biotin, Vitamin E, Omega 3. These were the things I would take on a daily basis with a double dose of Vitamin C. It keeps your body well balanced and healthy when on a diet. Gradually your body gets used to this, the whole diet works so well that long after the weight is still stable.  Metabolism is seeded up also which i think is what gives you more energy , the food gets used up as fuel very quick leaving also a healthy gut. Before with all the food i would eat and not take care, constantly there would be belly pain. With the change of diet it feels like I have a new body now! I'm  really happy with this, wanted to share this with you all!

To all of you, Look Good, and Feel Good
Mostly.......be Healthy!!!

Transmission1-‘The Avant/Garde Diaries’ by Raf Simons

On 15th of July I attended the preview of the "Transmission1" exhibition and event curated by Raf Simons. The showcase acts as the launch event for the newdigital interview magazine by Mercedes Benz, entitled as ‘The Avant/Garde Diaries’, at the BCC place close to Alexanderplatz. Raf said the exciting thing is not logical, actually I wasn't really surprised Raf started this cool project with Mercedes Benz. From Raf's collection I could tell he is the designer who is always thinking about the culture and science of the world, from present to the future. So, what is this event about exactly? I was quite curious about it before I went to the exhibition. And I found the result and fell in love with this event when I went to the exhibition perview. Raf picked few creative designers to present their ideas about the future world design in automation. The line-up includes Peter Saville, the British art director best known for designing all Joy Division, OMD and New Order covers.Konstantin Grcic, the industrial designer, created an installation made of chairs, entitled ‘360′.  Artist Peter de Potter created a large scale photographic installation all around the top floor of the BCC building, which were rather impressive and instead of making me loose interest it woke me up. Works showed online from Germaine Kruip, Goose, Begum Sekendiz Bore and Peter Henderson.  Peter Henderson, one of the artist of this project, I do follow his lovely blog" Hapsical" from long ago.The showcase of downstairs which around beautiful foggy scenery was the A-Class Showcar Installation, with the car put into a beautiful foggy scenery.
Now Im not a designer.......wait...I AM a designer. So I will comment on the design of the car. The shape of the car first of is somewhat normal, a typical breed of car like any other and has nothing special to it. Then as you pay more attention it wins you over with its delicate charm. For me when I see the shape of it there is a resemblence to aquatic designs in the natural world. There are these nice sharp curves on the top of the hood which swoop towards the windshield in a elegant fashion, the side of the car as well has a similar shape but much more pronounced which makes the profile view of it more striking. No I can not comment on the interior working of the car itself, only the aesthetics of it. To venture out of my comfort zone will make me sound ignorant. But the exterior of it really did catch my eye as all the shapes did compliment each other as a painting's colors would compliment also their counterparts, the framing and composition. Clearly you can imagine an artist working away night after night to create something a bit more original yet trying not to  go overboard or break the traditional form of what is accepted in this field of design. The show itself was, a moderate success . Some would say mediocre even. Yet what people do not seem to get from their presentations is that they focus on the future a great deal, well in part. But they did go in detail about the inspirations and the history. Including their wish to go become more environment friendly.

In these 3 days you also could have the chance to watch some great classic movies, which  showed the future world and sci-fi topic from that time. As Raf said, it is an endless project, I am looking forward to see this event in New York, London, Shanghai as well soon.

From Colour, to Fashion, and Back.

Recently I went out to the Mauer park here In Berlin and saw some 70s relics of toys. Me and my boyfriend both love to find such things all the time, we don't buy them most of the time . but I did get one thing, a Rubik's cube! It is such a strong icon of the 70s that it inspired me on how I should mix and match my colours according to the patterns on the object. Its so easy this way to see when two things match or more. Even my desk it has a navy blue plastic cup and a purple one next to it, they booth somehow compliment each other.
This is a nice way to see from other normal objects around you how you can match colors in a way that really stand out or compliment each other. Sounds silly, but even the wall in our room has this nice vibrant orange paint on it, with just white on the sides. It goes together so well. This is one of the main reasons why I love art and fashion and why I got used to it.

This vintage shop that we past by called " memories", there are many great stuffs...

Some artist even use Just colour for the creation of their images. With this they give the image lighting , tone, depth...no line work what so ever. Just the use of colour. One of the most well known and influential for modern artists is Craig Mullins.
One of his works, which is so amazing. It is very fashionable, expressive and vibrant. Only with the use of colours of the right combinations. He works in the film industry for a long time now, it isn't fashion related, but from the image above you can image how great fashion drawings would be if you implemented his colours in a fashion drawing.
