Originality?

Ok,the topic of today is " Originality". 

Originality 

1.the quality or state of being original.

2.ability to think or express oneself in an independent and individual manner; 
creative ability.

3.freshness or novelty, as of an idea, method, or performance. 

All thought, be it ideas ranging from Art, Music, Fashion, Film, Books e.t.c. Any medium you can think of...the ideas behind any material in these mediums comes from something else before it, and then before that, and before that and so on and on. Originality used to be something unique, in a world long ago where information was not easy to access as it is now with the internet, better standards and quality of living in the modern times have given us schools of thought and high education. Original and novel ideas such as Isaac Newton sitting underneath a tree in his orchard in 1666 where upon an apple fall on him giving him the original idea of "gravity". It inspired this, unique thought in him which gave Newton a unique perspective. Or Archimedes with the famous line "Eureka" that he shouted runningnaked down the street as he found out Displacement during his bath. There are thousands upon thousands of original minds that have lived in our human history, but this type of originality and the very concept of it is vanishing. We have become people who simply assimilate information and "change" it in our own way. This is seen in all creative forms of art , this including Stories and Cinematography. Even language itself is a derivative from a former language , as in English it contains a mix of every Saxon language, even Latin and Greek. People get worked up over Originality, but to worry about such things and throw arguments around the rooms is useless. The very people who complain and argue are probably the people who have even less of an understanding of originality and its concepts, or that they do not posses anything original about them. That everything is an external force acting on people to influence our very thoughts, ideas, imagination, even the personality that we will become or are. 

The truth is, Originality is just a word. Like many words, it has no real basis in the real world. Why? 

Because it never did exist in the first place. People feed of the external, each other, and we are dependent upon each other in many ways. 

Like with the basic fact of life, energy...it can never just exist suddenly, or disappear ever it can only change into something else.

So, I hope we all also change day by day into something positive and not worry about the worrying thought that your “not being original enough”.
